Sale of the ITAL EXPRESS Group by LFPI Gestion to Azulis
Created in 1975 and based in Châlons-en-Champagne, ITAL EXPRESS specializes in
distribution of new technical spare parts for industrial vehicles,
commercial vehicles and agricultural tractors of major brands (Iveco, Mercedes,
MAN, Scania, John Deere,…).
The Group ensures the supply of original technical parts such as engines,
brakes, suspensions or clutches to a particularly diverse clientele
(garage owners, dealers, agents, transporters, etc.), based both in France and
the international.
Thanks to its unique economic model and the impetus given by a new
management team recruited in 2012 and led by Patrice Claverie, ITAL
EXPRESS is experiencing a sustained acceleration of its development and profitability
higher than that of its market for a turnover of around € 30 million.
LFPI Gestion, minority shareholder since 2005, took control of the group
in 2008 as part of a new LBO operation alongside managers
historical. Fabien Bismuth, President of LFPI Gestion, adds “We are
happy to have supported the ITAL EXPRESS group in its development
thanks to the relevance of its model and the expertise of its teams in a context of
difficult market. With the help of the historic management team, we were able to
ensure a particularly successful managerial transition with Patrice Claverie
since 2012. ». To carry out this exit, LFPI Gestion appointed UBS, which
also orchestrated the fundraising by setting up a new pool
bank including Banque Palatine and Caisse d’Épargne Provence Alpes Corse
This bank financing is supplemented by mezzanine financing provided by
LFPI Mezzanine. Brice Carlot, Director of Investments at LFPI Gestion says:
“Thanks to the impetus given by the new team, ITAL EXPRESS was able to accelerate
growth and broaden its development prospects by capitalizing on its
intrinsic forces. We are confident in the ability of Patrice Claverie and his
team to pursue its development, which the LFPI group will continue to support
through mezzanine financing. “
Thus, at the end of a particularly sustained competitive process of less than
four months, Azulis Capital acquires the ITAL EXPRESS Group from LFPI
